Pokrovsky Frontier is a major Ural war and historical festival, which is held annually in summer in the Sverdlovsk Region, in the town of Kislyanka (100 km away from Ekaterinburg). The participants have a unique opportunity to attend the greatest Russian and world war-historical reenactments. Not only do they witness military events, but they can also touch the history. The festival venues always feature many folk craft workshops. Representatives of different historical periods show you how to create homeware, clothes and unveil the secret of creating jewelry. Those who are keen on history may watch mock swords fighting, while the youngest guests may learn pottery, leathercraft and weaving.
